It may be cheezy but I love that AT&T commercial from the eighties where the father is on the phone with his daughter and even though they're geographically far  apart the father is telling her that he's sending her a hug through the phone and she wraps her arms around herself to receive the hug.  It sounds even cheezier writing it down but I always loved that one.  There's not a lot of commercials that I'm really into recently, although I do like that Fave Five commercial where a guy finds out that his best friend has his girlfriend on his fave five.  The guy tries to deny it but then the phone rings with the ring tone of the song "Secret Lovers" and the friend says, "I've got to take this".  The watcher infers that it's his best friend's girlfriend calling and that they are having a relationship behind his back.  It's funny and that song just adds to the comic timing and silliness of the commercial.  I usually don't conciously buy a product based on a commercial but I will admit that I'm a bit influenced by commercials when it comes to make-up.  I think that's because these commercials seem to have solutions to physical imperfections that really are too good to be true but we get roped in any way.  I bought some kind of mega crazy lash mascara hoping my eyelashes would be as long and thick as the model's in the commercial.  It didn't happen of course.  My mom said "You know she's just wearing fake eyelashes" and I had a lightbulb moment of damn I got so wrapped up in wanting to be that person in the ad for a second that I alloweed myself to be tricked.  Of course they were false eyelashes.  Not many people can attain perfect eyelashes from mascara.  I always end up feeling like a chump when that happens.

I enjoyed the process of making the commercial.  It was a bit challenging to agree on a product and we ended up dong two commercials which I thought both had merits.  The main idea that fell to the side was my idea to do the microphone that attaches to an ipod.  People were mostly on board but Jimmy didnt think it appealed to a broad audience which I think is a valid point.  I guess it's harder to promote a more exclusie product that only a select group of people like journalism or media students would be interested in.  Although, I would be interested in finding some ways that it could be marketed more broadly.  Bisera also drew a very good story board for that product but we dcided to go with Tracy and Jimmy's products in the end and I thoguht they were both very creative.

I'm glad you took my critcism about the microphone idea from the first meeting. Instead of shooting at me like I owed someone something or giving me dirty looks because I was shooting down peoples ideas. The Prof put us in groups to spark a variety of ideas weather its to promote the idea or to give idea why it will/won't work. She wants us to learn how deal with other people especially when we get out to the real world where not everyone agree's with you. So what are you going to do get mad at everyone just because they don't like your idea or had your idea shot down?

I've known Tracy for a long time. I don't like to talk dirty about others especially to those that don't know the person. But the way I felt while she was shooting my ideas or doubts down. Since grammer school, weather she remembers me or not I've always felt she had something against me. Actually I feel like that about many people I know, it just feels like i'm getting run over all the time.  Thats the reason I came up with the air freshner idea because it was strictly mine and I knew she liked it eventhough she didn't want to admit it and to think it was a last minute idea. Who would have thought most of the class bought the idea. If the majority of our group didn't like my idea and I didn't ask the Prof about distributing both ideas I have a hunch Tracy would have shot my idea down. She already didn't like the idea when I presented to the group

Something that really bothered me was her comment. Oh its only a project for school it't not the real world. Are you seriously really waiting for the realworld before you give your best effort? For examply look at the basketball players in high school, or any sport in the matters...your going to give your 100% even if no one is watching because you never know who is watching. If you treat every project with your best effort people can tell and those that excel at what they do the heads will notice. When it comes time for you to show off the heads will pay more attention to those that push the best ideas and work the hardest because they know those who tried the hardest will give their 110% v's those who just try when someone is looking or listening.

I can't stand those who try to kiss ass and act like they know everything but don't put any hint out to what they actually know. no names mentioned but a few in our class will be like yeah so I heard this or read this but they don't descriptively mention any details about the subject mentioned. they will give the most generalized reaction. Oh it was good because it has different ideas or articles. So does everything in the World. But then give no examples to what it is actually about. This has nothing to do with you BTW.

wow. i guess he didn't realize that everyone could read this. um. you kno. including me? nice job.

It was a trying experience but it's just a reflection of what's out there in the real world. There are so many different types of people and personalities will clash. It was unfortuante that Jimmy and I disagreed on several occasions, but I've learned to not take things like that personally. Criticism is for taking, but some take it better than others. I'm not afraid of criticism, I believe it helps us grow and it helps us see things in different ways. But come on, if you're going to give me a five minute explanation as to why something doesn't work, then I would expect a solution. Don't attack my character for that reason alone or simply because you feel like I or "others" have something against you. For the record, I have nothing against Jimmy. I don't know him enough to have anything against him. Sure the comments he left on Brigid's blog give me a great reason to dislike him, but that just takes too much effort. It's sad that all this is aired out to the class. Seriously.

Yes, I know anyone could read this! I was hoping you would Tracy. I hope you read what I wrote really well and take that as my opinion and criticism. From since I knew you when we were kids until now you are still the same Tracy.

Just because you attend the same grade school with someone doesn't mean anything.  Please don't claim that you know who I am as a person.  You seriously don't.  So let's just leave it at that.  I mean, Brigid's blog doesn't deserve to be caught in the middle of it.  Poor blog.

Current update. Brigid has removed both his and my responses which is the best thing to do. I wonder how many people saw it before she did so. In any case, the only fool that he called out was himself.
